TREE PROJECT – Training and Resources to Enable a Green Era

Tree training and resources to enable a green era A Erasmus+ project for a sustainable future 2023-1-IT01-KA210 WEEK-000155836 Introduction Welcome to the first edition of the Tree project newsletter (Training and Resources to Enable a Green Era), An initiative financed by the Erasmus+ KA210-VET program. Tree was born from the growing need to train professionals able to face the challenges of the ecological transition, providing them with adequate skills to operate in a labor market increasingly oriented to sustainability. The project is carried out thanks to the collaboration of three European countries Italy, Greece and Spain. Tree aims to develop innovative methodologies and tools to support professionals and training institutions in creating educational paths aligned with the new needs of the world of work. The objectives and priority of the project The transition to a more sustainable and respectful economy of the environment is one of the fundamental priorities of the European Union. The European Green Deal establishes ambitious objectives, including climatic neutrality by 2050, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the adoption of more sustainable production models. However, so that these objectives become reality, It is necessary that the world of work and training quickly adapt to the new challenges, developing adequate skills for the ecological transition. The Tree project wants to fill the gap between the current skills and those requested by the green labor market, offering innovative tools to train a new generation of professionals with a strong environmental awareness. This change is crucial not only for those looking for work, but also for those who are already busy and need to update themselves to remain competitive in the world of work. The main objectives of the Tree project include• Develop an innovative training program focused on green skills, which will help trainees of education and professional training (IFP), workers and unemployed to acquire new skills for the sustainable labor market. • Create a kit of interactive tools based on situational scenarios, who will simulate real cases to provide a practical and concrete experience, helping participants to understand and apply the concepts of sustainability in their daily and work activities.• Identify and spread good practices through in -depth research in partner countries, which will analyze how green skills are integrated into existing training programs and which strategies are more effective for learning and job placement.• Promote environmental awareness and encourage a behavioral change between students, workers and companies, facilitating the adoption of more sustainable practices both on an individual and organizational level. The Tree project is perfectly part of the ambient priority and the fight against the climate change of Erasmus+, helping to create a more flexible and future -oriented professional education and professional training system. The acquisition of green skills will no longer be an option, but an essential element for any professional career, regardless of the sector of belonging.Tree aims to make the skills for sustainability accessible to everyone, so that the ecological transition is a concrete opportunity for economic and social growth, and not an obstacle to professional development. Expected activities and results To achieve its ambitious objectives, Tree is structured in a series of key activities that develop during the entire project • workshops and research in the three partner countries to analyze the current state of green skills in professional training centers and identify the best practices already in use. • Development and implementation of a specific training program for the ecological transition, with innovative didactic content and interactive digital materials. • Organization of multiplier events in Italy, Greece and Spain to spread the results and encourage collaboration between Stakeholders, Companies and educational institutions. • creation of a good practices manual, which will collect effective strategies to integrate green skills in professional training and in the world of work. The goal is not only to provide tools and knowledge, but also stimulate a sustainable mentality, essential to face global environmental challenges. Who are the partners of the project Tree is created thanks to the collaboration of three European organizations with experience in the sector of training and sustainable development ADIM Srl (Italia) – Project coordinator, Responsible for the overall management, of the dissemination of the results and the creation of the training program. Zeus Ike advice (Greece) – specialized in innovative training methodologies and in the design of situational scenarios for interactive learning. Newproject International Agency (Spain) – Responsible for the research and collection of good practices, With particular attention to the involvement of institutions and local companies.
