Development of surveillance technology and risk of abuse of economic information
An independently documented chapter of ZEUS's early history: in 1999, the European Parliament's STOA programme named the Patras-based ZEUS E.E.I.G. as author of volume 5/5 of its study on surveillance technology and the risk of misuse of economic information.
The perception of economic risks arising from the potential vulnerability of electronic commercial media to interception. The report used expert interviews and a modified Delphi method to examine interception risks, privacy and options for protecting economic information.
The interim report and this final volume are stages of one STOA assignment; other volumes credit other authors. It was a working document for the STOA Panel, not an official STOA publication or the Parliament's position. The work is attributed to ZEUS E.E.I.G., not the later ZEUS CONSULTING S.A. or today's legal entity.
